| “ I love Joe's Ice Cream! This place is awesome because they have an actual old fashioned ice cream machine there, unlike baskin robbins. My favorites here are the coffee ice cream milkshake with a banana blended in, and the green tea ice cream--YUM!! Whatever flavor ice cream you're craving, you can find it here. Like others have said, they have history and I'd much rather go here than anywhere else for an after dinner snack/dessert!

| “ I think this is the oldest family owned boutique style ice cream shop in SF. Might be a waning empire as well, as I don't think Joe's kids are interested in taking over. It's a really cute spot, and the ice cream is amazing. Definitely worth it for the ice cream aficionado. ”

| “ although I have never eaten the food here, we have gone MANY times to get the ice cream. This used to be the ONLY place in SF to get Green tea ice cream besides a japanese restaurant, 20 years ago. I think that years ago it was more of a hot place because he had unusual ice cream selections, which now are standard fare in 2004. still love the green tea and he has a zippy ginger ice cream. ”
