“
I love this place. Stumbled on it for a late lunch. Warm, authentic and very french. Also tiny. I ordered a rare steak which was, unusually enough, actually rare. If I lived in the neighborhood, this would be my go-to place for cozy lunches. ”

“ I consider myself a bit of a hamburger snob and this place ranks no. 1 in my book. It is terribly small and you often have to wait, but the food is delicious. Nothing too pretentious, just good and satisfying. And besides, the snippy french waiter is worth the wait! This whole block is an enclave of interesting "must see" spots.

“ it was a nice find.
i had the burger and my gf ordered a quesadilla. the presentation of the food was great; volume - plentiful; price - very reasonable. i also had a glass of pinot. the music was right, the light was dim and redish...
will definitely go back there again.

“ Good bistot food (we had burger with blue cheese, panini, creme brulee).
I find it overpriced, though. $60 for 2 (incl. beer + coffee) is a bit too much. ”

“ My favorite restaurant in San Francisco. So far I've had over 10 different dishes and I've been wowed time and time again. Do try the burger, steak and salmon panini... ooohh... and also the shrimp quesadillas. YUM! Casual/romantic. ”

“ I rarely order burgers because of their soggy messiness, but this burger was delicious! I got mine with brie on top and some fries and aioli on the side. The only thing that would have made it better would have been if the bun matched the burger...My friend had the nicoise salad which was just so-so. ”

“ This place is pretty much no-nonsense, good food, squeeze your way in and sit at the counter style french bistro. You are crowding the place if you have a large party of 3. I just had a huge burger with great fries/frites and it was delicious. My girlfriend had a big salad that I wasn't interested in, but she also said it was delicious. The bread was fresh and also very good. Service was friendly and efficient, but not particularly fast. Price is reasonable. It gets my recommendation for lunch/brunch. ”

“ Super yum! Uncomplicated french style cafe. Really fun atmosphere. Tiny! The middle area of the counter directly across from the grill is really hot, so dress in layers. Watching the staff prepare the delicious food is great fun to watch. Great Croque Madam and a super good burger with frites. Get the burger with a fried egg. You won't regret it. Lovely crepes for dessert. The service is slowish (don't plan on ducking in and out real fast) but very friendly. This kind of place is why we live in The City. ”

“ Very small place, ideal for a party of one or two at most. They're open all day i think, and offer some great deals for brunch and lunch, like crepes, omelettes and croque-monsieur (yum!). Friendly atmosphere. Same owners as Chez Papa, Baraka and the wine shop next door. And as far as i'm concerned, they should open a few more places :-)

“ I miss the old "Just for You" (as curmudgeonly as the staff always was) I really like this addition to the City. It is good food, good value, unpretentious and NOT NOISY like Chez Papa. ”

“ Well the lamb dinner is gone, but they've replaced it with a yummy pork chop and mmm brussel sprouts. I love that it's a tiny little place with counter seating, cozy. Though, its tininess does often lead to a wait. Do go, but don't crowd the place too much or I won't get a seat! ”

“ One of my favorite restaurants. Cozy, comforting, french. Come here for the salads (the Endive is my favorite), the Savoyarde crepe, the Lamb dinner (oh my, so good!), the sandwiches. Desert crepes here are ok, but do not match Ti Couz. I eat here often, can go back again and again. ”
