If you love salads, you'll probably love Frisee. Angela and I were invited to a pre opening and I got to sample a few of their delicious salads. I really enjoyed the salmon with candied pecans, dried cherries & blue cheese. I also tried the sushi tartar salad, I love sushi & salad, so its the best of both worlds all in one. The interior is modern with some nice art on display upstairs. They are now offering a new dinner menu with full service wait staff during the evenings. Friendly service and yummy salads, if you're by the Castro, Frisee is worth checking out. Review #20434

Frisee, a healthy and delish new concept developed by the adorable Niebergall brothers just opened in the Castro. I had the pleasure of attending a test run dinner. I was impressed with the atmosphere and the salad-centric entrees. I had the Tartar, which is a mixture of salmon, ahi, and avocado with house made potato chips and mixed greens on the side. ($12.50) I got to taste the Roasted Portobello Sandwich which I'd have to say is the best veggie sandwich ever. ($8.25) A delectable mixture of thyme, garlic roasted portobellos, tomatoes, roasted onions, pepper jack, jalapeno-shallot aioli inside fresh artisan bread. Yummy, healthy and affordable. This is the perfect lunch destination. It's “fast casual”, so you cue-up and order then sit in the modern lounge-ish dinning room and enjoy your eats! The brother's are toying with a more full service set up for evenings, so stay tuned. I really enjoyed the food and the space, I will be back! Enjoy! Review #20400
