Positive Cuisine: Italian Fishermans Wharf
Saw this on KQED's program and it looked inviting. This place is right out of the old movies. Lot's of fun people, families and crowds all having a good time. The waiters are pros, most of them working there for years. I had the fired calimari plate for an appetizer and veal piccata. Both were excellent and both were good sized portions which I was able to take home for lunch the next day! Prices or reasonable and the bar makes the best Vodka Gimlets at the wharf. Parking is on top of Safeway or hop the Cablecar! Review #21429

Positive Cuisine: Italian Fishermans Wharf
I know there will be the disagreements that I get when review “old style family city” restaurants from the crowd that wants vertical elements standing up on the plate as high as their suppressed ego will allow, No foam here! Bravo, this is the place our family came once a year on that special occasion, it was either here or Joe Ferreas' Troc Restaurant on Geary and Arguello. Anyway the food here is excellent, basic SF italian not the latest from Tuscany or Umbria BS. The seafood and the pasta are great, the ambiance is better and the best is the prices are still down affordable for the normal non IT working stiff! The salads are fresh, the pasta al dente with succulent sauces loaded with enjoyment and satisfaction on every spoonful. If you are really hungry try their 7 course meal. You can roll out of there if your not careful. Nothing overdone here, a nice place with good old fashioned family values. Wait staff, seasoned old professionals in proper attire. Period. Positive Cuisine: Italian Fishermans Wharf
One of the last of "Old San Francisco" restaurants, with waiters still in traditional tuxedos. Top quality food at reasonable prices, you will never go wrong here or leave hungry. The fish, steaks, and pasta are to die for, nobody in the city does it better. The seven course meals are the best deals in the city. This is the place WHERE italianS COME TO EAT italian, I have observed fishermen right off the boat come in and eat. With Frank, Dino & Sammy music playing in the background , you would expect to see a few "Wiseguys" in this joint. Review #20535
