Good pizza, but not such a nice environment to hang out.

I found the decor somewhat cavernous, soaring ceilings all very well but they eat conversation and it was freezing. The service was lovely, however, and the food very good. I had the lobster which was very nicely done but I think their vegetables are the stars. Review #21569

Soaring cuisine and ambience, Mark Sullivan's extraordinary rich cuisine at Spruce climaxes to an absolute knock out. Urban sophisticated atmosphere, loving service and thrilling cuisine create a viscerally erotic dining experience. Every dish an archetype, You'll be ooing and aahing throughout the meal. delicious charcuterie selection featuring head cheese, beef tongue, chorizo, house bologna, stunning duck mousse nearly rivaling Thomas Keller's in taste, richly subtle spearmint ravioli with citrus and parmesan, spectacular red endive and pear salad with roquefort and pistachios, simply stellar. Sensational entrees include slow roasted beef short ribs, literally shimmering in glistening effervescence, honey lacquered duck breast with cinnamon dusted foie gras and plum gastrique, incomparably divine and simply peerless rich essence. State of the art desserts, superb oenophile delights. Stunning San Francisco debut, fight Your way in. Review #20122

Brand new restaurant from the owners of the Village Pub have brought to the city the same casual atmosphere as in Woodside. They also brought their fresh produce, which they grow on their private farm in the Santa Cruz Mountains. The salad of heirloom tomatoes was bursting with sweet flavors only experienced when you pick up tomatoes at a local farmers market! Other items are on the unusual side, like the watermelon and sardine salad. You wouldn?t think that would be good, but surprisingly the flavors meld well! The menu is inspired by flavors of Spain, Morocco and France, with many dishes having couscous and other grains. My honey-glazed duck was moist unlike others. The hit was the barigoule and artichoke entr? moist with great texture. For dessert fresh organic strawberries with white chocolate - Douglas fir ice cream, probably the strangest, tasty quirky experience. This is food quite different than the norm; enter at your own risk! Pricey! Parking in your dreams. Review #19902
