Good pizza, but not such a nice environment to hang out.

I support the salted caramel craze. I'm not positive it's the best ice cream ever but it's fresh and creative and if it's a nice day and you're sitting in Dolores Park, life is pretty good. Review #21571

So hard to resist... I had heard friends rave about the salted caramel, so we stopped in last night after a big dinner...only looking. Of course, they offer you samples as soon as you walk through the door (GREAT service, friendly, attentive) and seriously, how can you say no to ice cream, especially when you're standing that close! The lavender and honey was amazing if you like flowery foods. I'm already looking forward to my next trip to Bi-Rite. Review #20170

If you want to indulge on ice cream, best do it at Bi-Rite. No skimping on the ingredients here -- nothing but full fat goodness. They have some really unusual flavors and combinations that other users have mentioned (like salted caramel and toasted banana), but Bi-Rite really cranks up the intensity even on the more conventional offerings. Their chocolate and coffee flavors, for instance, are so robust and intense they are downright extraordinary. I recommend sharing a sundae ($5.95) or getting your own single scoop ($2.75). I'm not a huge ice cream fan in general but I really enjoyed this place. My boyfriend took a detour on the way home and didn't tell me where he was headed. He stopped gave me some cash and said get me a double scoop of salted caramel. As I got close to the counter i saw all the fun flavours. I ordered the creme fraische for myself....but next time im going for the peanut with fleur de sel nuggets and strawberry basalmic. Tasty, creamy, fresh and yummy. Highly recommend. Expect a huge line and a hipster vibe. Review #19900

I walked down from Dolores Park, wanting to pick up some iced tea, instead I go here. They have really good inventive flavors, like, roasted banana and salty caramel... which I selected for my custom sundae. It was topped with caramel sauce, homemade brittle and whipped cream. It was a rare warm and sunny February day, so there was a line out of the door. It moved mercifully fast. There are benches underneath the nearby trees. Dolores Park is a block away. This place is going to be a classic. Review #18672
