“ Seems like the only draw here is the location and the pricing. After the wait in line, and sitting down to enjoy the food, it wasn't worth either the wait in line or the gas in going around the block to find parking! I suppose if you live down the street it is a OK place to hang out, but not if your visiting Berkeley for anything else. There are better places away from the downtown area that serve up a good diner breakfast and lunch. Although there was no extra charge for the left grease and dirt on the tables and floors! Sorry, a no return! ”

“ Had good meals as well as so so meals. The draw for me is the breakfast, DINER breakfast. The long lines are there for their oversized omlettes, pancakes, etc. I'm not often in the East Bay, but Bette's is a solid bet. Had crappy service last time I was there, but the food is worth going to and there are enough distractions in the area to kill time. ”

“ Every dish I have every had here was very good. The breakfast and brunch items are all very good. Diner type stuff is excellent as well. They have a really good chilli dog. Their fancier grown up food is good as well. The wait is pretty terrible, but if you work in teams, some can go shop while others keep your place in line. ”

“ Great food means long wait. Especially on weekends! I had tried the smoked salmon omelette. Moist and flavorful salmon. The bagels are also delicious. A good portion. ”
