I wanted to love this place. it looked like a find. even though i was thinking salad and wine, the menu made me want fish and chips and rootbeer floats. that kind of place. and yet.... the services was somewhere between really bad and just bizzare. the waitress was stern. she wouldn't let us move to an empty table away from the open door blowing in cold air. she was as slow as molasses and somehow made us feel bad for being served. there was something floating in the water. i asked for a refill of diet and she said, well, i gave you regular that time - so, you sure you still want diet?... which is just like, what? why did you even tell me? or, maybe you could have apologized atleast? whatever. anyways, i dont plan on returning. despite the look of something charming. Do it once and get it out of your system. The wait is long and the food is average. The view is great...but you can go there after lunch. Better food and easier to get into is the Seal Rock Inn just up the street. Review #8562

Atop the site of the famous Sutro bath that burned down in the early sixties. The friendly staff will serve what I feel is just average diner food, I have had the hamburger four or five times, nothing bad or fantastic to remember, one area of improvement is to accept credit cards, it baffles me why in the year 2005 there are still place’s that only accept CASH, its seems to me you could easily increase sales if you took credit cards, just my 2 cents. Conclusion: OK food, great views and friendly service. Review #7759

I have had breakfast here a few times after running in Golden Gate Park. Its a Mom & Pop place. Decent breakfast- standard diner food. It won't wow you by any means, but if you are in the area and don't want to hit Beach Chalet here is another option. Service was ok. Geez lame review eh! But thats just how it is...totally on the fence about it ;) Review #7754
