Good pizza, but not such a nice environment to hang out.

Just OK. Sashimi was mediocre, Salmon is a basic...if you can't do that I have little faith...and their Salmon was not very good. Tried a couple rolls and they too were just OK. Tuna app was decent. Nothing stood out. Service was great and the place is cute...but I won't be back. Review #20547

This restaurant is worth going to. The ambience of the restaurant is very relaxing and service is good. I went here for my birthday and loved the food. The sushi is very fresh and they have some very innovative dishes. One of my favorites is the tuna tataki. Review #18635

Enjoy fresh sushi at the bar or creative small plates in the atmospheric dining room. Moderately priced with good service. Spoonful of Happiness is actually two unique mouthfuls of intense "exotic" flavors per order. Enjoyed a lick of the urchin when I usually prefer to stay away from it. Review #18001

Always a pleasurable experience at this place, and service is usually very attentive. Great menu items - favorites include hamachi-kama. Fresh sushi never disappoints. Review #17418

You cannot come here and skip the Spoonful of Happiness. It's like going to Granada and missing the Generalife! Sit at the bar for a quieter and more intimate experience. Review #16978

I have never noticed this restaurant until some friends took me there. A reservation won't be necessary during weeknight, but definitely you will want to make one during weekends. Many choices of rolls on the menu. Try the beef tataki, you won't regret it. Some of my favourite rolls are the kamikaze, and the tokyo crunch. Review #16481

there are only a few sushi places i recommend in the city and this place is one of them. Their fish is very fresh, and their wasabi is also authentic. Well for the sashimi it is. Not a lot of sushi restuarants have that. The rolls are quite yummy, and the appetizers are pretty interesting too. They have a nice salmon n tuna tartare that works pretty well. Also the service is very welcoming and the place is quite nice. A nice place to go to on a date or just for some sushi. Thumbs up! Review #16143

Quiet little place. I really loved the sushi here. It's also off the beaten path, which I like. The prices are really good, compared to what I usually pay for this kind of food. Review #13971

Great chill space for a date and to just enjoy sushi - nothing too crazy, but solid pieces of fish! :) Review #13757

Koo is the best sushi in San Francisco. They have very inventive roll, with the best being the 'Best Roll'. The U2 roll is a close 2nd. Keep your eyes out for the seasonal cajun roll, a hand roll with a whole deep fried crawfish...mmm. Just remember to save room for the Mt.Fuji! Review #13611

The tuna tartar w/shrimp chips was heaven! I also had the spider roll which was crunchy and delicious and "the best roll" was good too!. Other sushi rolls were really good and the fish were fresh. Great service. Tea was always refilled when needed to be. Will go again and again!! Review #13503

Quite possibly the best sushi restaurant in the sunset and maybe one of the best sushi restaurants in the city for non-traditional japanese cuisine. I've never had a bad meal here and have met more than a few sushi connoisseurs while sitting at the bar. The itamaes are friendly and professional and have been more than able to satisfy myself as well as friends that range from dedicated carnivores to vegetarians. Review #7228

My new favorite sushi restaurant in SF! This place is amazing. Definitely make reservations and order the Spoonful of Happiness appetizer. The Azteca is superb as well. Yum. Review #6399

This restaurant is exceptional in a number of ways. There are many unusual and creative japanese-fusion dishes along with the more typical sushi (which is very good); it has some of the best japanese food I've tried. If it were downtown or a more up-market neighborhood, the prices would be far higher. I would recommend making reservations for Saturday (I don't know about popularity on other days). Review #6207
