Steps Of Rome has a very happy and fun atmosphere and is a great spot for tourists or locals who go there for the first time. The food is very unpredictable and sometimes it's great and sometimes it's not!! Most people go there to enjoy the fun atmosphere and the little performances that the staff give every once in a while. (They can be a little bit sexual sometime!!) My suggestion is to take a female friend there and tell the staff that it's her birthday!

Penang Garden is indeed a hidden treasure on the border of North Beach and Chinatown. The decoration looks very tropical and it's the only restaurant in San Francisco that offers food from Singapore, Malasia and Thailand at the same time.(At least that I know of)My favorite dish at Penang Garden is their Mango Prawns. They actually serve it in a warm carved mango!! I have enjoyed every single dish I have had at Penang Garden and I would highly recommend this restaurants to all locals and tourists.

I had a great experience at Palomino! I went there with my best friend on a Saturday night for dinner. We sat on the deck overlooking the bay and the bay bridge! The staff were very prompt with their services and the food was pretty AMAZING! We kept complementing their food and got to try their tasty PUMPKIN MARTINI! They also offer different flavors of Mojito such as Mango and Rasberry...

Rose's offers the BEST salmon sandwich and tuna salad ever. In fact, everything they have there are very tasty and professionaly made and cooked. I've actually bumped into a couple of celebrities in there so far! Their burgers are okay though. I wouldn't suggest ordering a burger in Rose's cafe. Their deserts are yummy:)

I love Lemongrass! The place is so tiny and cute and the food is great. It's pretty much one of the yummiest Thai cuisines in San Francisco and the staff is supernice. If you are into seafood, you should definitely try their green curry salmon and spicy prawns.

Their steaks are amazing and the place has a very cool and down to earth crowd. The first time I ever tried fried banannas was at this place and it was very yummy. This would be a good place for a group of friends to go to and have some food and cocktails and then go bar hopping in the area. Their tapas are a little bit overpriced though based on what they offer.

Medjool has a very nice atmosphere and the food is supertasty. It's a great place to go to with a group of friends. It also has a pretty big roofdeck with elevator access with panoramic city views and even views of the bay bridge. People normally hang out up there and order cocktails and stuff. definitely check it out!

Pizza orgasmica is my favorite Pizza place in San Francisco. Their pizzas are really really tasty and reasonably priced. Always make sure to ask them to warm up your slices and eat them fresh off the oven and you'll LOVE IT. Orgasmica is a pretty good name for this place...

Albourz restaurant is a little bit pricy, but they serve the BEST Persian food you can possibly find in the bay area. Every single meal on their menu tastes amazing. If you like meat, you should definitely order the "Barg Filet Minogn". It's made with a special tomato sauce and is very tender and tasty. Albourz is also the best place to try Yogurt Soda, which is a very yummy soury persian drink. But as far as the environment of this place, it's always very quiet and doesn't get very crowded very often...

Kan zaman is awsome! It's decorated as if you are seating in a desert and they have flags of every single middle eastern country hanging from the ceiling. They play exotic middle eastern music and have female and MALE belly dancers!! YES! MALE BELLY DANCERS! They do these amazing moves with swords and candles. The food is great and reasonably priced too. Their chicken Kebab is very tender and tasty and their warm spice-wine is very unique. Make sure to go through your bill before paying though because the place is always so crowded and busy and sometimes they make mistakes in their billing. Also, keep in mind to always make reservations in advance, because you don't wanna deal with waiting for a table for hours...

Great atmosphere for you and your friends to hang out, super-exotic menu with different types of dishes from different nationalities, yummy cocktails and cool music! The place is more of a contemprorary New York style loft-like lounge/restaurant. The food is okay though...

I actually had the exact same experience as Afrooz Emami in Viva's. The food is pretty good, but they over charged us double on a Pizza without explaining in advance. We actually asked them about it once we recieved the bill and they didn't even bother to apologize!

Their food has improved A LOT during the last few months. I've actually seen people closing their eyes and saying Hmmmmmm once they put the food in their mouth at Maykadeh. However, make sure to always take someone who is very familiar with Persian food with you because some of the flavors are so different from anything you have ever tried before. The "Barg Filet Minon" is the most amazing food they serve, which is made with tomato sauce and is very tender.
You also need to keep in mind that it's a very formal and fancy atmosphere...

Their food is really fantastic and it's one of the nicest Asian-Fusian-style restaurants I've ever been to in San Francisco. The place looks pretty exotic and their firecracker shrimp is very yummy.
The corwd is not that diveresed though and it's because of where it's located. But the place for sure would be a nice experience for anyone. I've taken so many people there and they all have been very pleasently surprised...
