i went to Tao several times already, and i was impressed every time. the setting was relaxing, kind of dark lighting, soft music in the background, with an semi-asian fusion, yet vietnamese feel to it. love the food; the waitresses were nice and courteous.; the bill was affordable. it's good to take a date to this restaurant. parking can be rough on certain days, but that's about most places in the city.

Why is this restaurant categorized as "Asian"? it's pretty much straight-up Chinese restaurant. This needs to be changed to reflect that.
The food, service, and setting are good. There's no b.s. here. affordable Chinese food at a decent price.

it was a nice find.
i had the burger and my gf ordered a quesadilla. the presentation of the food was great; volume - plentiful; price - very reasonable. i also had a glass of pinot. the music was right, the light was dim and redish...
will definitely go back there again.

it was just ok. not impressed at all. still a good place to watch hipe/good looking people. the atmosphere was cool. however, the food in relations to the price was not exciting. sure for tapas, we know what's going on. for $50 a person? i just don't feel the food was worth the price. i've had better tapas at other places.

took my gf there on a friday night, but we were not impressed at all.
food was average; drinks were not good, and the services was below average. i finished half of the appetizer, then they brought the diner cloths and utensils out. the so-called peking duck spring rolls were horrible (some microwaved costco stuff). and the noodles were just ok.
not your romantic scene neither. the music was just way too loud.
had the spring rolls, two drinks, prawn noodles, and grilled chicken noodles. $45 out the door - price was decent, but not cheap.

i'm Chinese, so i can say i know Chinese food. What is served here is American Chinese food. get it? it's food for the round-eyes. get it?
the food is not horrible, but it's not anywhere close to being good. don't be sucked by the hype. you deserve better food.

i eat at this place at least once a week because it's only a block away from my office. you can have lunch or dinner here. the biggest turn-on about chaat's is the price. the food is good. like naan n curry, you have to get your own water and curry sauce off the counter, but that's why you don't have to pay tips.
eat here if want good food and save alot of money. i took my girlfriend here was... it was ok. not a typical date restaurant, but works if you want a quick cheap bite.

had my b-day party at this place last month.
good thing i didn't have to pay for it, but it was very expensive.
the food was good, service was good too, but the experience was shocking when the bill came (for my friends).

good food and good setting.
but... no parking and the bill was expensive.
overall experience was just so-so, or ok.
want to impress someone, take him or here here.
want to get full and spend less, not this place.

been to bodega 3 times...and everytime i felt i got a good deal. the atmosphere is nice, not too loud, not too quiet. the walls are painted dark, yet carries a classy vietnamese outlook. the service is good and friendly; i took a date there, yet it's fine for a family outing too.
the tiger prawns dish is great. they have specials several times a week; you need to ask.

went there on saturday night, 4/2/05. service was ok. make sure you reserve the table. the girl said no need to reserve (that was b.s.). i got there and had to wait like 15 mins, so don't listen to that biyatch, and reserve the table in adv. my gf and i ordered two glasses of sangrias, rabbit stew, mushroom, and trout tapas. only the mushroom tapa was good, the rabbit stew as rough, and the trout was tasteless... the bill was $28 (without the tips). the price was decent, service was ok, yet the quality of the food was below average.
